We note that the "look and feel" of Studies 2a and 2b, as set by the "theme" in the Qualtrics survey software, was identical to the the "look and feel" of all other studies. However, as a result of some recent changes within Qualtrics, when we made copies of the surveys for Studies 2a and 2b (which were conducted chronologically last) to export to OSF, Qualtrics imposed some automatic formatting changes to the "look and feel" of the surveys that were *not* displayed to participants in the actual studies. We have not been able to find a solution to removing these formatting changes. Thus, in the section of this OSF page that provides survey files, there are some "look and feel" differences between Studies 2a and 2b vs. all other studies that are not actually reflective of the methods that we used. To get the most accurate sense of the "look and feel" that participants in all of our studies actually saw, see the screenshots of our experimental materials in the SI of our paper (as in general, the PDFs that Qualtrics provides when one exports a survey are *not* identical to what participants actually see).
