This project examines the validity of the Theory of Emerging Adulthood by assessing for characteristics of Emerging Adulthood (EA) both within and outside of the proposed age range of the developmental phase. Using three datasets including participants of varying ages, we examine the idea that individuals aged 18-25 share a variety of unique experiences that are not applicable to individuals in other stages of life. Further, we examine four potential predictors of identity exploration in emerging adults. This project replicates Skulborstad and Hermann (2016) across two studies varying in replication precision and demographic diversity.
