Wiki Version:
Excel summary files are generated by the matlab scripts for each task. Read in from raw xls files generated by training program, and save N correct by block, median correct RT for the whole session, and N help responses. one file for prepositions, and one for vocabulary and PA (nonverbal paired associates) ID codes: initial number denotes group: 1 grammar matched control 2 SLI trained group 3 SLI untrained group 4 age-matched control 8/6/14: studyZ_grammar_voc_PA_OSF.xlsx added This is a copy of the SPSS main file, but I have added a front worksheet that allows you to look at the whole pattern of data for each individual case. NB this involves lookup function. Raw data should not be entered on the top sheet - only value that should be altered is the row number for the subject being displayed. Also, if there is any change to the 2nd worksheet columns, this will create errors, as the lookup functions will not update column references 4/2/15 file added with means for jittered plots 28th July 2015:add data from SRT (Green Monster) task; large xls file with subjects in columns and individual stimuli and then correct RTs in rows. Where there was an error, RT is NA 23rd April 2018: Added GreenMonster_MedRT.csv, which has the median RTs used for Figure 2 of Dev Science paper. Also has % correct responses. **Update December 2020** An additional file has been posted in response to a request for SRT summary data for a meta-analysis. Lang_SRT_summaries.xlsx is an Excel file that has a subset of the data previously provided in SPSS format, including raw and scaled scores on psychometric tests, plus error rates and rebound RT difference scores from the SRT task. A data dictionary is given on the 2nd worksheet. Please note, correlations from this dataset are not exactly the same as those reported by Hsu and Bishop (2014) because that paper excluded children who did not do the Hebbian learning task. The available sample here is 70 cases rather than the 56 reported by Hsu and Bishop. Unfortunately, the Hebbian learning data was stored separately and we cannot reconstruct which children did that task.
