Wiki Version:
This project serves as the repository for "Distributional learning for speech reflects cumulative exposure to a talker’s phonetic distributions," in press at Psychonomic Bulletin & Review (R. M. Theodore & N. R. Monto). The folder "2DLosf.zip" contains the raw data and analysis scripts that, when executed, will reproduce all test statistics and figures reported in the manuscript for the behavioral study (experiment one) and the computational simulations (experiment two). The analysis scripts are heavily annotated and the subfolders of the zipped file contain READMEs. An R package (slopeExtractR) was developed to facilitate the computational simulations presented in experiment two. A version to run locally is included in the zipped data/scripts folder; the most recent version of this package can be retrieved at: https://github.com/nick-monto/slopeExtractR
