This data was provided by Litterati by request through their open data portal: https://opendata.litterati.org/
Data describes the location and time when litter was observed and taken a photo of and what tags were made to describe the photo. The tags may need substantial cleaning for analysis. You can use the trash taxonomy to rectify some of the tagged information: https://trashtaxonomy.shinyapps.io/trashtaxonomy/ or contact Litterati to use their taxonomy.
The California dataset is all data points within the state of California dating back as far as the Litterati database goes to December of 2020.
The Our Clean Community dataset is all data points from a research project conducted by The Gray Lab using a new method for data collection with the Litterati app: https://www.thegraylab.org/rclean-community.html
