This paper has now been accepted for publication (January 2019): **Castiglione A, Wagner J, Anderson MC, Aron AR (in press). Preventing a thought from coming to mind elicits increased right frontal beta just as stopping action does. Cerebral Cortex.** This is an EEG study in 41 participants. **The study hypotheses, methods and analytic plan were registered here 10-28-17.** We have here provided pre-processed EEG data and scripts and behavioral data for open access. Note the EEG data are 23 GB!
