Description: The changing family structure, living arrangements, and out-migration have influenced the intergenerational family relations and motivations for social support of older adults. This scoping review aims to map the evidence and identify the research gaps in the motivations for social support including financial, instrumental, and emotional support to older adults given the changing demographic and societal dynamics in South Asian societies.
