Wiki Version:
@[toc] Metadata schema --------------- As version alpha to be discussed, we propose the following minimal set of metadata: | Field | Values | Definition | | ------ | ------- | ----------- | | Year | | Application year | | Grant scheme | | Name of the grant scheme | | Gender | Male / Female / Other | Gender of the applicant | | Region of applicant | | Contrary to the city, the region should safeguard anonymization | | Disaggregated discipline | | The lower level of disciplinary grouping according to the funding agency's ontology (in general the evaluation committees or panels) | | Aggregated discipline | | The larger level of disciplinary grouping according to the funding agency's ontology (for instance, [in the case of ANR][2], the scientific field) | | First-time application | Yes / No | Does the applicant applies to the same grant scheme for the first time or more? | | Score at each step | e.g. 8.2;7;2.6 | Score obtained at each step of the review procedure, separated by a semicolon | | Success at each step | e.g. 1;1;0 | Boolean success at each step of the review procedure, separated by a semicolon | | Success | Yes / No | Was the grant awarded? | Other metadata -------------- Other fields found in the [Use cases][3] and [Existing schemas][4] were not selected to be part of the minimal set. | Field | Values | Justification | | ------ | ------- | ----------- | | Grant ID | e.g. ANR-22-SRSE-0011 | Could lead to reidentification | | Acronym | e.g. DMDRepair | idem | | Title | e.g. Decoding skeletal muscle tissue repair dysfunction in Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy | idem | | Abstract | | idem | | Amount of the grant | | idem | | Name of the applicant | | idem — it is possible to use a pseudonymized hash instead. Possibly too complex for funders, Oliver & Ott (2022) have still used it | Rank of the applicant | | Less relevant | | Age of the applicant | | Less relevant | | Number of panel members | | This additional information can be obtained separately and joined with the minimal metadata | [1]: https://osf.io/2exvn/wiki/Use%20cases/ [2]: https://osf.io/2exvn/wiki/Use%20cases/ [3]: https://osf.io/2exvn/wiki/Use%20cases/ [4]: https://osf.io/2exvn/wiki/Existing%20schemas/
