Wiki Version:
This paper investigates the linearization of right node raising (RNR) constructions. Adopting the assumption that RNR involves multidominance without movement, I argue that RNR constructions can be linearized through an extension of Fox & Pesetsky’s (2005) Cyclic Linearization, which I term Flexible Cyclic Linearization. This paper thus makes the following contributions: 1) it introduces a novel multidominance analysis of RNR and 2) it motivates Flexible Cyclic Linearization as an extension of Cyclic Linearization.
