Wiki Version:
### __The Open Science Special Interest Group of the International Society for Quantitative Ethnography__ ---------- Open Science (OS) represents a cultural shift in scientific research by promoting transparency throughout the research process and advocating for expertise to be openly accessible and their benefits universally and equitably shared. OS also aims to increase methodological rigor and verifiability via the possibility to scrutinize and openly evaluate processes of knowledge production in a supportive, encouraging environment. The Open Science Special Interest Group of the International Society for Quantitative Ethnography explores ways in which quantitative ethnographic work may become more transparent, expertise can be more easily shared, and how we, as a community, can help each other in challenges we all face in research.

#### Some activities the OS SIG promotes: __QE Sandbox__ Organizing regular informal exploratory discussions on methodological challenges and solutions __Reporting guidelines__ Outlining aspects of QE research projects which can be reported in scientific publications __Data sharing guidelines__ Compiling ideas on how to best share qualitative data according to FAIR (Findable, Accessible, Interoperable, Reusable) sharing principles; drafting suggestions for anonymization of qualitative data

Visit the QE Open Science SIG webpage: https://www.qesoc.org/open-science-qe-sig/

Email us at: qe.openscience@gmail.com
