Wiki Version:
A multiple linear regression is most appropriate for analyzing the results of this study as there are two independent variables predicting a single dependent variable. This is to see if the proportion of the variances in my dependent variable: sociability can be explained by my two independent variables namely: heat and weight. I am looking to test the null hypothesis and using the r-squared value to determine how much of a predictor the independent variables are and how much they it deviates from zero. Ideally, using this linear multiple regression model I should be able to reach a linear equation that accurately models the relationship between my variables. An alternative analysis could be a ‘repeated measures ANOVA’.
