![enter image description here][1] The MuSE Consortium is an international network of individuals interested in engagement in research, evidence synthesis, and guidelines. The MuSE-Evidence Synthesis project aims to develop guidance for engaging with different interest holders throughout all steps of evidence syntheses. We have identified 11 categories of interest holders. These include:
- Patients, patient caregivers, patient advocates/organizations
- Payers of health research
- Payers / Purchasers of health services
- Peer reviewed journal editors
- Policymakers
- Principal investigators and all members of the research team
- Producers and commissioners of evidence syntheses
- Product makers
- Program managers
- Providers
- Public To develop guidance for engagement in evidence synthesis, we will conduct a series of reviews. The protocols of these reviews will be available here. The topics of the reviews are:
a) engagement methods (scoping review and evidence map)
b) barriers and facilitators to engagement in conduct of evidence synthesis (systematic review)
c) impact of engagement in evidence synthesis (systematic review)
d) conflicts of interest in engagement in evidence synthesis (systematic review)
e) equity considerations in engagement in evidence synthesis (evidence map) The project protocol has been published.
