Description: This project examined whether system justification would enhance psychological well-being among members of advantaged and disadvantaged groups, and whether perceived individual upward mobility can explain this effect. In two correlational studies among adult (Study 1) and adolescent (Study 2) samples , we tested the association between system justification and psychological well-being, and the potential moderating role of social class. In one experimental study (Study 3), we tested the effect of system justification on life satisfaction, and the mediating role of perceived individual upward mobility.
