She received a PhD in History from the University of Bristol (2010), an MA in Cultural Astronomy and Astrology from Bath Spa University (2007), and an MA and PhD in Psychology from Los Angeles University (1971). She is a qualified analytical psychologist (Association of Jungian Analysts, London, 1983) and a member of the International Association of Analytical Psychology. Academic publications include 'Did Orphic Beliefs Influence the Development of Hellenistic Astrology?', Culture and Cosmos (2005), and 'Love, Alchemy, and Planetary Attractions', in Angela Voss and Jean Hinson Lall (eds.), The Imaginal Cosmos: Astrology, Divination and the Sacred (2007). Her research interests include the Kabbalah, the British occult revival of the late 19th century, and Orphic, Gnostic, early Jewish, and Hermetic astrologies from late antiquity.
