Description: The interaction of higher cognitive functions (e.g. long-term memory and executive control functions) is critical for controlled, goal-directed cognition. It enables us to flexibly and adaptively bring our past experiences to bear on our current behavior in a manner consistent with our long-term goals. The battery includes a broad range of cognitive, affective and self-report measures to address this question in a cross-sectional, adult lifespan paradigm. Specific measures include gold-standard and experimental assays of complex cognition as well as self-report assessments of mood and quality of life.
