Wiki Version:
This data repository contains the data underlying the article "Ego Depletion does not interfere with working memory performance" to be published in Frontiers in Psychology. All variables are fully described in the .sav file. To understand the underlying study, we encourage you to read the article. If you plan to analyze the data yourself, please contact me (Ranjit Singh: ranjitsingh33@gmail.com). I am glad to help you make sense of the data or to answer any questions you have about the experiment or the tasks we have developed and used. The dataset includes most raw values. An exception are the three interactive tasks. Here, the raw data consists of long strings that are not intended to be human readable. Instead, the dataset contains the unfolded task data in separate variables. Task data is aggregated to a participant level. For scales, we provide the raw answers, the recoded items, and the scale scores. To keep the dataset easy to understand, we have also several of the procedural variables that the online survey platform (Unipark) created automatically.
