**Original Citation:** Winawer, Huk, and Boroditsky (2008). A Motion aftereffect from still photographs depicting motion. *Psychological Science*, 19, 276-283. **Replication target:** Winawer et al. found that motion aftereffects were present following the presentation of a still photograph depicting motion; “the point of perceived null motion shifted by 0.17±0.04 units of normalized coherence, t(28)=4.98, p<.0001,” (Winawer et al., 2008, p. 280). The present replication seeks to reproduce this effect. **A priori replication criteria:** Any participant who was “likely to be guessing or otherwise unable to perform the direction-discrimination task” (Winawer et al., 2008, p. 279) was planned to be excluded from the present replication. Additionally, any participant whose single unit of normalized motion coherence exceeded 100% dot coherence or whose performance did not exceed chance was to be excluded from analyses. Using the same baseline score calculation method, we plan to use a two tailed t-test to compare the null motion points for the inward and outward movement conditions. We expected to find, as in the original study, that the point of perceived null motion would shift significantly. Materials can be found in the "materials" component. Results will be uploaded when data collection is complete.
