Description: Dietary risk factors are among the leading causes of chronic disease and are responsible for a large proportion of the disease burden. Interventions that are delivered at the point which people are making selection and purchase decisions about the food they eat, have shown promise in influencing their decisions. The rise of online food ordering systems offers an avenue with enormous potential to deliver such interventions to a large number of people at this critical point (i.e. point of purchase). This systematic review will synthesise the evidence of interventions that have sough to positively influence food selection and purchasing decisions through online food ordering systems.
