Description: There is mounting evidence that an adequate supply of micronutrients and omega-3 fatty acids are important for normal foetal and infant development and their immune function. Women are widely encouraged to optimise their diet or take additional micronutrients during peripregnancy. Whether they themselves receive any clinical benefit is largely unknown. This scoping review will seek information regarding the effects of key vitamins, minerals, and omega-3 fatty acid supplementation on diverse aspects of maternal immunity during pregnancy.
